Gobble! Gobble!

For our Pre-Thanksgiving Preparations, we made Turkey Cookies!  Aunt Rachael came over to help us!
I was very grateful for her assistance - so I thanked her with a kiss!
Mommy and I posed for some cookie decorating pictures!

Here was the final product!  They were delicious!
We snuggled with Gram on Thanksgiving morning to watch the Thanksgiving Parade on TV.

Then we got all dressed up to go have our feast!
I was not satisfied with the outfit Mommy found for us.  I did not feel it was fancy enough.  SO, I borrowed one of daddy's ties.  I also made the look with a pair of sunglasses and a turkey hat!
The day after Thanksgiving, we went to the parade in Hamburg!  It was cold, so I got all bundled up in a blanket!
We all bundled up and snuggled together while we watched the parade go by.  It was so much fun!
Mommy attempted to take a picture of herself with Luke, but I was being a real turkey (haha) and poked my head in!
She did end up with a nice one of the two of them, however!
We had a great Thanksgiving weekend!  Thank you to everyone who made it nice and fun!

Our Firetruck

G-Gramps and Judy bought this firetruck for Drew on his first Christmas.  It has been a loved toy for sure!  It got the most use in the last 6 months when Luke stopped being super fragile and started being more fun!  Here is a peek into what life with this firetruck was like in our house!  All you have to do is check out the blurry pictures, pure joy and our faces full of laughter and you know we had some fun with this toy - and made our parents CRAZY!

(^^^This is Mommy's favorite!  It says it all just from Luke's face!^^^)

After several spills and some chipped paint, 2 flip-overs and many sore toes (mostly Mommy and Daddy's)our firetruck seems to have gone missing.  We are working on locating it, but Mommy and Daddy speculated that it may be in retirement.  Either way - it certainly has gotten some outstanding use and was well loved!

Happy Halloween!

We were TRAIN CONDUCTORS for Halloween this year!  Check us out!  Probably the last year Mommy will be able to dress us alike for Halloween, so she took advantage of our 'slight' obsession with trains and went all out!
As you know, pictures of the two of us are NEVER easy!
Mommy did manage a nice family picture, however!
So, it was a rainy night, but we braved it for some yummy candy!  It was Luke's first time out!  He was very independent!
We yelled Trick or Treat together at everyone's house!
We had so much fun going door to door with Daddy!  We didn't mind the rain at all!
I might not have minded the rain, but Mommy said I was too little to be out in the weather for too long, so she and I came back home.  What else would a train conductor do but play with their favorite trains!!
When Drew and Daddy arrived back home, Mommy tried, YET AGAIN, for that perfect picture!  This one was cute, but not quite what she was looking for!  Luke is too busy shouting "All Aboard!"
Daddy and I dug into all the candy we scored while out Trick or Treating!
I had my first taste of candy too.  Smarties - YUM!
Mommy attempted to calm the sugar high by putting out our yoga rug to do some calming yoga.  Her attempt was a waste of time - look at us running all over the place!
Nonetheless, Mommy was able to score that fabulous picture she hoped for!  We finally settled and let her take this fabulous shot of the two of us.  After all, there will never be a Halloween when we are 3 and 1 AND dressed as Train Conductors again!
Happy Halloween!

The Perfect Pumpkin

After we picked out our pumpkin, we came home and carved it up!
Daddy and I had a great time neatly cutting the pumpkin up and scooping out the goop.
My Daddy, if you didn't know, is hilarious....as you can see in the picture below.
I really wasn't as excited about this whole pumpkin carving process as everyone else.  I got to hold a neatly cut piece, but wanted nothing to do with the goopy stuff.
Then, on a different occasion, we got another pumpkin.  Daddy traced our hands and we carved again!
Here is a much less silly picture of us!
Check out my pumpkin hand!
I was awfully sly, taking both hands and running away with them!
Believe it or not, Mommy did participate in all of our pumpkin activities, but this is the only picture she has to show for it!
Next up...Halloween!!

Pumpkin Picking

Picking out pumpkins is serious business.  Last year, I wasn't able to participate - I was a bit too little.  This year I had full particiption.  Notice the true strain in my face.  This pumpkin and I fought for a significant amount of time.  I ended up losing.
I, also took this job quite seriously.  These pumpkins were MUCH too small for my liking.
So, Daddy and I decided on this one.
We carried it together.  I knew if muscle man Luke struggled, I was going to run into the same problem.  Daddy had to help me out just a little.  I handled most of it myself.
Later, I found one that was just my size and I was very proud of my find!
With our awesome pumpkin and gourds in our wagon, we headed over to the REALLY BIG pumpkins!

Mommy, attempted her traditional pumpkin photo.  To our knowledge, this has never turned out.  Considering this is the best one - where it looks like Drew happily is whacking me in the face with a stick while I cry - is a good sign this year wasn't successful either!

I was a little more agreeable on my own.

We did a great job of a boys photo shoot though!  Check out those handsome faces!
It wouldn't be a pumpkin hunt without playing the pumpkin bongos!
We had a great time and picked an awesome pumpkin!
